Annapoorani, the culinary drama that features Nayanthara in the lead role, hit the theatres this week. The project, which is helmed by Nilesh Krishnaa, marked the lady superstar’s 75th outing in the film industry. Nayanthara played the role of a Tamil Brahmin girl who aspires to become the top corporate chef in the movie, which has been receiving relatively mixed reviews from the audiences.
Annapoorani OTT platform details are out
As per the latest updates, the OTT rights of Nayanthara’s Annapoorani are already sold. The Nilesh Krishnaa directorial has been slated to be streamed exclusively on the renowned platform Zee5, after its theatrical run. For the uninitiated, Zee Studios has produced the culinary drama that hit the theatres on December 1, Friday, along with Naad Studios and Trident Arts. So, it is confirmed that Zee5 is going to be the digital partner of Nayanthara’s film. However, an official announcement on the same is yet to be made.
Annapoorani OTT release date
Like most Tamil films that recently hit the theatres, the Nayanthara starrer is also slated to have a one-month-long theatrical window. In that case, it is safe to assume that Annapoorani will get its OTT release, mostly on January 1, on the special occasion of New Year 2024. The project might even get an early OTT release on the 30th or 31st of December, 2023, coinciding with the final weekend of this year. A major update is expected to be out in a couple of weeks.

All about Annapoorani
Nayanthara appears as the titular character Annapoorani, who belongs to a traditional Iyengar family from Srirangam, Tamil Nadu. Even though Poorani aspires to become a top corporate chef, her orthodox family headed by her father who is the priest of the famous Srirangam temple, and follows compulsory vegetarianism, creates obstacles in her life. How the protagonist reaches her goal forms the crux of Annapoorani.
Along with Nayanthara, the culinary drama features a stellar star cast including Jai, Sathyaraj, Achyuth Kumar, KS Ravikumar, Redin Kingsley, Renuka, Karthik Kumar, Sachu, Suresh Chakravarthy, Poornima Ravi, and others in the supporting roles. S Thaman composed songs and the original score for the project. Sathyan Sooryan is the director of photography. Praveen Anthony handled the editing.
