Annapoorani's first single Ulagai Vella Pogiral is out: Nayanthara exudes girl-next-door vibes in this soulful track

Nayanthara is set to play the titular character in Annapoorani, the eagerly awaited upcoming project that marks her 75th outing in the film industry. The movie, which is touted to be a family entertainer, has been garnering the attention of cine-goers with its promising announcement teaser and posters. The makers of Annapoorani dropped the first single from the movie, Ulagai Vella Pogiral on social media, recently.

The soulful track which is rendered by renowned singer Harini and composed by S Thaman, depicts the journey of Nayanthara’s character Annapoorani from an infant to a young woman. The lyrics penned by Vivek narrate the titular character’s passion for cooking which developed from a very young age, and depicts how she overcame all obstacles with sheer willpower and dedication.

Nayanthara, the leading lady looks impressive in her traditional Tamil Brahmin girl avatar in the lyric video. It is refreshing to see the lady superstar taking a much-needed break from her usual ‘urban woman’ persona after so long, to play a homely girl in Annapoorani. From the first single, it is evident that the project, which is helmed by Nilesh Krishnaa is going to be a memorable experience for the family audiences.
