Ankita Lokhande's professional life post-Bigg Boss 17 has been good. Right after the show ended, the actress' film Swatantrya Veer Savarkar was released on the big screen. Following its release, Ankita starred in a music video with her husband Vicky Jain. Their song was titled Laa Pila De Sharaab. Interestingly, the actress has also come on board for Sandeep Singh's OTT show Amrapali. The latest buzz is that Lokhande was offered a role in Karan Johar's Student Of The Year 3. However, she reportedly rejected the offer.

Ankita Lokhande rejects Student Of The Year 3?

A source informed News18 about Ankita Lokhande rejecting an opportunity to be a part of Karan Johar's Student Of The Year 3. "I am not sure about the role she was offered but she was definitely asked if she could be a part of the SOTY franchise. However, she has rejected the offer and nobody knows the reason behind her decision," revealed a source.

Earlier, at the Cinevesture International Film Festival (CIFF), Karan Johar confirmed that SOTY 3 would be made. But this time it will be in the form of a web show instead of a film. The producer revealed that Reema Maya will be directing the OTT version of Student Of The Year 3.

KJo added that SOTY 3 will be made as per Reema's vision. He further joked that if he tried to enter Reema's world, then he would make it more of an illusion.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar launched three newcomers in Bollywood with his 2012 film Student Of The Year. It marked the Hindi film debut of Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. Seven years later, Punit Malhotra helmed the second installment of SOTY. This time around, the star cast included Tara Sutaria, Ananya Panday and Tiger Shroff. Unfortunately, SOTY 2 couldn't recreate the same magic as its first installment.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Karan Johar's last directorial venture was Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani with Ranveer Singh and Alia. On the other hand, Ankita was last seen in Laa Pila De Sharaab.
