Ankita Lokhande opens up about mentioning Sushant Singh Rajput on Bigg Boss 17 - 'There is nothing wrong if...'

Following the end of Bigg Boss 17, the celebrity contestants are back to their regular lives. Ankita Lokhande finished her journey at the fourth spot on the day of the finale. Both the audience and the host, Salman Khan, found it shocking and unexpected. Ankita, though, smiled and carried on with a good attitude. She even shared an Instagram post where she shared her entire journey which started from Pavitra Rishta till Bigg Boss 17.

Apart from being a strong contestant at the Bigg Boss 17 house, Ankita was making headlines for constantly mentioning the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput on the show. For the uninitiated, the Pavitra Rishta actress dated SSR for seven years before they parted ways. Ankita has now spoken out about bringing up Sushant on the show, saying that she will not allow anyone to stop her.

Ankita remarked that when she spoke about Sushant, she wondered if there were a lot of nice things to tell about him so why not? in an interview with Siddharth Kannan. "Sushant is that person in our life who somewhere still exists. We have common friends, we speak about him. There is nothing wrong if someone wants to know about him, consider him as an idol." she continued.

Earlier, when the actress was questioned by the media about whether she mentioned the late actor to earn the support of his followers or as part of her game plan. The actress refuted it. She revealed that fellow contestant Abhishek Kumar looks up to and regards Sushant as an idol. She merely wished to encourage him by sharing the late actor's positive qualities.

She also said that she feels very proud to talk about Sushant wherever she is and there is nothing wrong in talking about him according to her. She said, "I feel it is absolutely fine because jitna main Sushant ko jaanti hoon shayad koi nahi jaanta. And if there is a young boy who wants to be like him I will talk to him or anybody else.”

Before splitting up, Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput dated for a considerable amount of time. When they worked together for the TV show, Pavitra Rishta, they fell in love.
