Dream Warrior Pictures, the production banner which has backed films like Kaithi and Farhana, announced a new film on social media recently. Titled Anjaamai, the film is headlined by actors Vidaarth and Vani Bhojan. The first look of the film was revealed as well.
Anjaamai first look out
The first look of Anjaamai was released by the makers. It showed the lead actors, Vidaarth and Vani Bhojan posing happily with two children on their laps. They appear to look like a happy family. In the background, one could see the headlines from a newspaper that talks about a loss of life due to NEET exam and the dreams of poor students getting shattered. There is also an element of something burning. From the looks of the first look, the film is expected to touch upon the issue of NEET exams and its impact.
Anjaamai is written and directed by SP Subburaman and is expected to be a social drama that will address pertinent topics plaguing the society. The plot of the film is kept under wraps. Apart from Vidaarth and Vani Bhojan, the film also stars veteran actor Rahman in a prominent role. The film is produced by Dr M Thirunavukarasu MD.

The technical crew of the upcoming film consists of Raghav Prasad scoring the music, with Arivumathi, Karthik Netha, Arun Bharathi and the director penning the lyrics. The background score is worked by Kala Charan and Karthick has shot Anjaamai. Ramsudharshan and GC Anandhan are the editor and art director respectively. Anjaamai will have a theatrical release in June. However, a release date is yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, Vidaarth was last seen in the horror thriller Devil, alongside Poorna and Thrigun, which released earlier this year. On the other hand, Vani Bhojan who has appeared in films like Oh My Kadavule and Malaysia to Amnesia, was last seen in Love which released in 2023.
