Director Joydeep Mukherjee and actor Anirban Chakrabarti have offered us a series of superhit Eken Babu shows. Now they are back together for a brand show, Missing Link, for the upcoming OTT partner, Friday, of Camellia Productions. The series also features Satyam Bhattacharya, Loknath Dey, and Biswanath Basu in the lead role.
OTTplay was the first to report that Joydeep will be directing a series for Fridaay centering around a small town police investigation. Talking about the series, Joydeep said, “This is a small-town police procedural drama. Anirban plays the character of an SDPO (Sub-Divisional Police Officer) who investigates a murder. Loknath plays the character of the accused of the crime. Satyam plays the BDO. If people like the series, we would like to make other seasons also.”
Satyam is excited too. He told us, “This is a good offer with a strong character that I got after many days. I am looking forward to it.”
The series is penned by Samir Sengupta. Missing Link also features Satakshi Nandy and Judhajit. The shooting of the series will start on May 24 in Bolpur.
Earlier, Saswata Chatterjee was scheduled to play the character of the SDPO. However, that did not work out. Saswata is reportedly playing a character in Neeraj Pandey’s new edition of Khakee: The Bengal Chapter.
