Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for the release of director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. The film also stars Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bobby Deol in important roles. Since the announcement, the film has been eagerly awaited and the recent release of the trailer has created a lot of buzz around it.
According to a new report by Pinkvilla, filmmakers from the Tamil and Telugu film industries have expressed interest in collaborating with the Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani star. A source told the portal, “A filmmaker known for making gangster films in Tamil Nadu has approached Ranbir with a project that he is willing to produce in Hindi." Apparently, Ranbir has enjoyed the concept and is open to collaborating with the director in the capacity of a director.
The source added that another director from Tamil Nadu, who recently had a blockbuster that starred an established actor, is currently developing a project starring Ranbir. It has actors from the North and South as its two heroes. The source continued, "It's in the scripting stage." A different Tamil director, who created a popular Hindi love story in the 2000s, hopes to work with Ranbir on a more mature film.
Ranbir has also met a few times with a top Telugu film industry producer who is working on one of the biggest Indian films with a pan-Indian star. He is in talks with not one, but several scripts. “The producer has signed almost all the top directors from the Telugu film industry and has gone to Ranbir with a buffet. He can pick and choose the director from the roaster,” said the source.
A Kannada film industry production house has also shown interest in collaborating with the Animal star for a special project. Atlee, who made his Hindi film debut with the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan, has expressed interest in collaborating with RK.
However, Ranbir has not yet agreed to star in or given the go-ahead for any of these movies.
Ranbir Kapoor's projects
Ranbir is currently busy with the promotions for his upcoming film, Animal. The actor is collaborating for the first time with South Indian filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film, which also stars Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bobby Deol, is all set to release in theatres on December 1.
Ranbir will also be seen in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana.
