Animal featuring Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most awaited films as it is being directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga of Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh fame. The film is all set for a massive release on December 1, 2023, and the makers have started the promotions by revealing the teaser in Hindi and all the South Indian languages.
The response has been terrific and Ranbir Kapoor's beast avatar has become a talking point. Well, as the teaser is trending on social media, not many know that Ranbir Kapoor was not the first choice to play the main lead.

Going into details, After the release of Arjun Reddy, Sandeep Reddy Vanga wanted to make Animal as a Telugu film. He also approached superstar Mahesh Babu and even narrated the story. But for some reason, Mahesh Babu rejected the film and Sandeep went to Mumbai to remake Arjun Reddy in Hindi.
As Kabir Singh was a massive hit, Bhushan Kumar roped Sandeep for yet another film, and once again Sandeep pitched the subject to Ranbir Kapoor and the rest is history. Ranbir Kapoor is seen in such a menacing avatar for the first time in his career and this has got his fans and youth quite excited for the film which also stars Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bobby Deol in key roles.

Mahesh Babu rejected this Tollywood biggie
On the other hand, Mahesh Babu has a history of rejecting hit films. He was the first choice of director Sukumar to play the main lead in Pushpa. But as Mahesh did not like the mass role, he politely rejected the offer.

Sukumar made changes to the script and narrated it to Allu Arjun and he grabbed it with both hands. The film was such a big hit that Allu Arjun even won a Nationa Award for the best actor. So, we need to see what kind of mayhem will Ranbir create with Animal when it is released.
