Anil Kapoor is currently enjoying a successful phase in his career, marked by the recent blockbuster successes of Animal and Fighter, both of which have rewritten history on Netflix with their digital premieres. However, amid these achievements, Kapoor found himself back in the headlines, not for his two new films but for a classic that still enjoys immense popularity on satellite TV. Yes, we're talking about Nayak.

Recent rumours surrounding the movie have suggested that Siddharth Anand is backing a sequel to the popular film. Not only that, but the rumours also claimed that Nayak 2 had a director, and it wasn't Shankar. However, the latest developments hint at something different.

Anil Kapoor Spotted With Shankar

Recent sightings in Mumbai have raised many eyebrows on the internet, as they involve Anil Kapoor and his Nayak director, Shankar. While there's nothing suspicious about this outing, what's intriguing is the speculation that Nayak 2 might be in the works. Videos circulating online show the popular filmmaker stepping out of his car and entering Anil Kapoor’s Mumbai residence. Later, the two even emerged together to pose for the paparazzi. While Kapoor looked as dapper as ever, Shankar seemed pleased to reunite with the star he collaborated with on a successful film decades ago.

These videos have sparked excitement among fans, as Nayak remains one of the most beloved Hindi films. However, there's been no confirmation of what Shankar's visit to Anil Kapoor's residence was about, so everything remains speculative until either of the two reveals the purpose of their meeting.

Nayak 2 Rumors

Meanwhile, what adds to the confusion is the rumour that surfaced last week, suggesting that Siddharth Anand is producing the sequel to Nayak and has enlisted Milan Luthria to direct it. However, there is no actor's name attached to this speculation. It's said that the film will be a sequel to the 2001 hit, following a similar roadmap set against the backdrop of politics.
