One of the most talented and appreciated actors of Bollywood, Anil Kapoor, has clocked 40 years in the film industry on Friday. In a career spanning over 40 years, the 66-year-old actor has featured in over 100 films, many of which ended up becoming blockbusters globally. Some of his popular films are Mr. India (1987), Ram Lakhan (1989), Biwi No. 1 (1999), Slumdog Millionaire (2008) and Jugjugg Jeeyo (2022) to name a few.

To mark the occasion, Anil Kapoor dropped a heartfelt note for his fans and well-wishers on Instagram. It read, “Today, I complete 40 years of being an actor and an entertainer…40 years of being accepted, loved, and blessed by you, the audience! They say when you’re doing something you love, time just flies by...no wonder 4 decades seems like the blink of an eye! This is where I belong this is what I’m meant to do and this is who I’m supposed to be…”

Anil also thanked actors Naseeruddin Shah and Padmini Kolhapure for welcoming him to the industry with the film Woh Saat Din. This film was released on June 23, 1983.

In the letter, Anil Kapoor also mentions that he will soon be seen in Aditya Roy Kapur starrer The Night Manager 2 and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal. “To mark the completion of these 40 years, I’m coming to you in two very special avatars with The Night Manager part 2 and Animal. I hope you will continue to love and support me the way you have always done,” the Jug Jugg Jeeyo actor said.

Reacting to this development, Anil’s brother and producer Boney Kapoor dropped an emotional message and expressed his feelings in the comments section of the post. Boney said, “You have been best brother to me, Reena and Sanjay, best son to our parents, best husband to Sunita & great father to Sonam, Rhea, Harsh & Anand, I know you will be the most doting grandfather to Vayu & more to come in future & I will pray that you remain best great grandfather to the fourth generation. It is your hard work, talent, & sincerity that has given this most coveted super stardom for these 40 yrs & I am sure it will remain for atleast a hundred more years, I am sure you will be remembered as a very hardworking, very sincere & very talented actor all your life.”
