Anil Kapoor beams with happiness on becoming a grandfather to Sonam Kapoor's baby boy, calls it 'a wonderful journey'

Anil Kapoor is thrilled to become a grandfather after Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja welcomed a newborn boy. The birth of a new member has made the Kapoor-Ahuja family very happy. Sonam just took her newborn son home after spending a few days in the hospital following delivery. A huge pooja was conducted to welcome the infants home when they arrived. Anil recently discussed Sonam as well as her new baby during a media event.

Anil expressed his joy at the arrival of the baby. The actor described the journey as just fantastic. Therefore, he remarked that, due to God's goodwill, he merely wanted to convey his appreciation for how wonderfully everything went, according to India TV News. He adds, "Mom and son are both doing well."

Recently, Snajay Kapoor visited the newborn and was eager to see his brother Anil. Sanjay mentioned in an interview, "It is raining babies in the Kapoor family." The actor continued by joking that he liked to refer to his brother Anil as a "nanaji," but Anil chuckled and corrected him, saying, "Grandfather sounds cooler."

However, Sonam said in an interview with a fashion magazine that her father became quite upset when he found out about her pregnancy. She stated, "I think my dad is scared. For a long time, he didn’t see himself as a grandparent. He didn’t even see himself as a parent, but he was the one who got emotional when I told him I was expecting."

Meanwhile, on August 20, Sonam and Anand gave birth to a baby boy. The actress gave her admirers a wonderful caption when she shared the news on social media. She posted, "On August 20, 22, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy with bowed heads and hearts. Thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, friends and family who have supported us on this journey. It's only the beginning, but we know our lives are forever changed."

On the work front, Anil will next be seen in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directed film Animal, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna.
