Aneethi star Arjun Das on Vikram's Rolex: My heart was pounding when I stood in front of Suriya sir

It looks like Aneethi star Arjun Das is in complete awe of Suriya. During the promotions of the Vasanthabalan film, the actor said that since he had grown up watching Suriya's films, when he actually got to share screen space with him, his heart began beating faster.

 He said, "I have grown up watching Suriya sir's movies and watched his movies in theatre. So, to finally share screen space with him in Vikram, was a true blessing. To stand in front of him and to actually perform that scene was a dream come true. It looks nice on screen but only I know how fast my heart was pounding. Even my father is a huge admirer of Suriya sir's work. "

He added, "Unfortunately, I didn't have scenes with Karthi sir (Arjun Das worked in Karthi's Kaithi, which was also directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj) though we were on the same set. Both Suriya and Karthi sir are hardworking, sincere, and disciplined. There is so much to learn from them. I am really blessed to have worked with big stars Kamal (Haasan) sir, Suriya sir and Karthi sir."

Arjun Das stated that he admired how Suriya elevated his performance in every film of his. "Many people called Soorarai Pottru his comeback film. I wondered why because he has given a fine performance in every film of his. The way he changed his dance to performance, movie after movie is admirable. Having worked with Suriya sir and Karthi sir, I feel very close to the family." Arjun added that as for romantic characters, Suriya's role in Vaaranam Aayiram was his favourite.

In the meantime, the actor's latest outing with director Vasanthabalan, Aneethi hit screens today. In a heartfelt note that he shared on his social media handle, Arjun Das wrote, "Today is a dream come true for me and my team. I am truly fortunate to have been directed by Vasanthabalan sir, have music composed by GV Prakash brother and to have Shankar sir present our film." The film stars Dushara Vijayan as the leading lady.
