Andor season 2 officially confirmed: Diego Luna gears up for 'A Star Wars Story' - All you wanted to know

Diego Luna is coming back for Andor's sequel. Yes, the Hotstar series gets a sequel, and details about it were revealed at the recently held D23 Brazil. Andor sequel confirmed

Andor 2, officially titled Andor: A Star Wars Story, was confirmed at the event. Against a black backdrop, the makers announced Andor season 2: A Star Wars Story. More so, B2EMO made an appearance at the very event.

'A Star Wars' story reference

Andor is a series that follows the events before Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. This 2016 film was about Andor being the first rebel who took The Empire down in his own way. Not just Rogue One, the 2018 film from the franchise was also Solo: A Star Wars story.

What happened in Andor?

Andor season 1 explored Cassian (Luna)'s wrath against the Empire. Being the most wanted, he was imprisoned and was working for The Empire with no way of escape. However, he appears to have found a way out. The second season is likely to explore the same, but the stakes are surely higher than ever!

When and where will Andor 2 release?

Andor 2 is scheduled for release on April 22, 2025. The series, like always, will be out on Disney+Hotstar. The 12 episodes are likely to be released on a weekly basis (every Tuesday).

The Mandalorian and Grogu glimpse also revealed

The Mandalorian set off the mark for spin-off Star Wars series. After 3 seasons, it will now be a film and Mandalorian and Grogu (fondly called baby Yoda, but isn't Yoda). The movie will release in theatres post Andor 2, on May 22, 2026.
