Aamir Khan recently hinted at the sequel to his 1994 film Andaz Apna Apna. In his Instagram Live, the actor revealed that Rajkumar Santoshi is working on Andaz Apna Apna 2's script. The cult classic film starred Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. While the filmmaker has begun working on the script, the film's rights are with the late producer Vinay Sinha's children, Amod, Namrata, and Priti. They are also planning to make a sequel to Andaz Apna Apna.
Rajkumar Santoshi cannot make Andaz Apna Apna 2 without consent?
A source close to the development told Mid-Day that the late Vinay Sinha's children were planning to make the Andaz Apna Apna sequel with Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan. However, at the moment, they aren't sure whether to rope in Aamir and Salman with a top director or get the next generation of stars on board. "Regardless, it’s certain that Santoshi cannot make a sequel without the Sinhas’ go-ahead," a source told the tabloid.
The late Vinay Sinha's daughter, Priti, confirmed that talks of a sequel to Andaz Apna Apna have been happening within her team for a long time. She added that they will proudly announce the same once everything is locked.

The 1994 film Andaz Apna Apna was directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The filmmaker wrote the film along with Dilip Shukla. Produced by Vinay Sinha, the star cast of the film also included Karisma Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Paresh Rawal, Shakti Kapoor, Tiku Talsania, and Mehmood, among several others.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Salman Khan has The Bull, directed by filmmaker Vishuvardhan, lined up. Apart from that, the superstar teamed up with director AR Murugadoss for a film and locked Eid 2025 release.
On the other hand, Aamir Khan will next be seen in Sitaare Zameen Par. The film's storyline is expected to shed light on Down Syndrome. It might be released by the end of this year.
