Super Sharanya trio of Arjun Ashokan, Anaswara Rajan and Mamitha Baiju have reunited for a feel-good romcom titled Pranaya Vilasam. Directed by debutant Nikhil Muraly, the movie is currently gearing up to hit theatres on February 17.

In an exclusive chat with OTTplay, Nikhil, who had previously helmed a few ad films, tells us, “Pranaya Vilasam tells the story of different kinds of love – about romance between people, in varied landscapes. It’s all about love.”

The team had wrapped up shooting the movie, which is scripted by Jyothish M and Sunu W, last year. Kannur and Kanhangad were the main locations of Pranaya Vilasam, which has Shinoz as its cinematographer and Shaan Rahman as its music director.

On roping in the Super Sharanya trio as the leads in the film, Nikhil tells us, “All three of them are from the younger generation of Malayalam actors that we have today and they have good reception among the audience too. So, we want this story to reach the family audience through them. Though Pranaya Vilasam is told from the youth’s point of view, it’s a purely family-oriented movie.”

The filmmaker, however, says that he doesn’t want to reveal too much about their characters in the movie. Hakkim Shah, Manoj KU and Miya are also part of the movie, which features a host of debutants. “It’s the debut film for most of us including the writers, cinematographer and editor. A bunch of youngsters are trying to tell a story through popular actors with this film,” concludes Nikhil, who is based in Thiruvananthapuram. Pranaya Vilasam’s satellite and OTT rights have already been picked up by ZEE Keralam and ZEE5, respectively.

Meanwhile, Arjun has also completed shooting for Trishanku, which has him opposite Anna Ben, and Tinu Pappachan’s political thriller Chaaver, which has Kunchacko Boban and Antony Varghese. The latter is expected to hit theatres by April this year.
