Anjaam Pathiraa director Midhun Manuel Thomas has completed shooting for latest venture, which has Aju Varghese, Indrans, Vijay Babu and Saiju Kurup as part of the cast. Anarkali Marikar is reportedly playing the female lead in the movie, produced by Vijay Babu’s Friday Film House.
Anarkali stars opposite Aju Varghese in the movie, according to reports. The movie, which was shot in Wayanad and Thodupuzha, had completed filming recently. In an earlier interview with OTTplay, Vijay Babu told us that the yet-to-be-titled film is a feel-good movie told through humour.
It’s unclear whether the makers have planned the movie as a direct-to-OTT release, considering Vijay Babu had released Friday Film House’s previous two movies – Sufiyum Sujatayum and #Home – on Amazon Prime Video and were also in talks to drop Rathish Ambat’s Theerpu, starring Prithviraj and Indrajith, on OTT.
The upcoming movie, which is also scripted by Midhun, also has Bheeman Raghu, Churuli fame Geethi Sangeethi, Aneesh Gopal, Bijukuttan and Chembil Ashokan as part of the cast. This marks Midhun’s next release after the hugely-successful Anjaam Pathiraa, which has Kunchacko Boban in the lead. The filmmaker is also set to helm its sequel along with the third part of the Jayasurya-starrer Aadu franchise, which is touted to be a big budget movie.
Meanwhile, Anarkali has a host of releases lined up too including Arun Chandu’s Gaganachari, a futuristic sci-fi mockumentary in which she plays an alien. The movie also has Aju Varghese playing one of the pivotal characters along with Ganesh Kumar and Gokul Suresh.
