Ananya Nagalla to play a village belle in her OTT debut Bahishkarana

Ananya Nagalla, who made a sparkling debut with Mallesham, the biopic of the Padmashri award-winning weaver Chintakindi Mallesham, has always grabbed eyeballs for her unique script choices. She has consciously tried to reinvent herself with each of her avatars and is treading the slow-and-steady route in the industry. The upcoming actress turns 27 today.

The Vakeel Saab girl, who was last seen in an extended special appearance in Naresh, Pavitra Lokesh starrer Malli Pelli, is gearing up for her OTT debut. She’s awaiting the release of ZEE5’s prestigious show Bahishkarana, which has been in the making for a while and has a top-notch cast, crew. Commemorating her birthday, Ananya’s first look from Bahishkarana was unveiled today.

“Elated to reveal the details very soon! May you enjoy the year with great health and happiness as the excitement kicks in! Happy Birthday @AnanyaNagalla,” ZEE5 Telugu tweeted today. Ananya plays a village belle in the intense drama and in the poster, she’s all smiles holding a milk can, being surrounded by cows and fields in a village backdrop.

Apart from Ananya, the show, that’ll premiere on ZEE5 shortly, also features Anjali, Shritej, Basha, Ravindra Vijay. The series is written and directed by Mukesh Prajapathi. The crew comprises Prashanti Malisetti, cinematographers Yamini Yagnamurthy, Prasanna S Kumar and Kiran Reddy Thumma. The OTT premiere date of Bahishkarana and other details surrounding the promotional campaign will be out soon.

Meanwhile, Ananya has two other feature films awaiting release - Anveshi and Lechindi Mahila Lokam. Her new looks from these projects were also launched today. While Anveshi, starring Vijay Dharan, Simran G, is directed by VJ Khanna, Lechindi Mahila Lokam, where Ananya co-stars Shraddha Das, Lakshmi Manchu and Hari Teja, is written and directed by Arjun - Carthyk.
