Anand Tiwari’s next, starring Vicky Kaushal, Ammy Virk and Triptii Dimri, to release on THIS date

Ever since fans caught wind that Vicky Kaushal, Ammy Virk and Triptii Dimri will come together on the silver screen for the first ever time in Anand Tiwari’s next film, the former have been anxiously awaiting for even the smallest of updates regarding the same. Karan Johar recently graced fans with an exciting update about the release date of the highly awaited, yet to be titled movie.

Taking to his official Instagram handle, Karan revealed the film’s release date with a photo captioned “We’re bringing together three absolute POWERHOUSES OF TALENT - Vicky Kaushal, Ammy Virk & Triptii Dimri, led by the supremely talented director Anand Tiwari. Get ready, it will be entertainment unlimited as this yet to be titled film makes its way to the cinema halls on 25th August, 2023”.

After the film’s theatrical run, it will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, although the makers have not announced an OTT release date as yet.

The upcoming film is touted to be a romantic comedy, and will be produced by Karan under his Dharma Productions banner. Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand will also be producers of the film, which is also a co-production between Leo Media Collective and Prime Video.

In an earlier statement, Karan had spoken of how the film was special due to numerous reasons, two of them being the collaboration between Vicky and Anand. Producer Apoorva had called the film ‘a perfect summer entertainer’. “Anand Tiwari’s upcoming film is an eclectic mix of drama, emotions and a dash of comedy which will leave the audiences gleaming”, she said.

Both Vicky’s and Triptii’s last films had been direct to OTT releases. Vicky was last seen in Govinda Naam Mera, which was released on Disney+ Hotstar. Triptii was last seen in Netflix’s Qala.
