Anand Deverakonda: Baby will haunt you, make you smile, shock you and surprise you

Baby, coming from Sai Rajesh, the director of Hrudaya Kaleyam and the writer-producer of films like Colour Photo and Kobbari Matta, is arriving in theatres the coming weekend. Produced by SKN, it brings together Vijay Deverakonda, Vaishnavi Chaitanya, Viraj Ashwin in the lead roles. After the encouraging responses to the teaser and Vijai Bulganin’s music, the trailer was launched yesterday. Anand Deverakonda promised a memorable film for audiences the next Friday.

“Baby will haunt you for several days after you watch it next Friday - the dialogues, the emotions and the music. The technicians have done a fine job. All of this could have been possible only with Sai Rajesh - Telugu cinema has got another solid director. Just like how SKN discovered the writing potential in him, Sai Rajesh discovered the acting potential in me. I never believed I could give a performance like what I’ve done in Baby,” he said.

Sai Rajesh hasn’t only pushed me to do my best, but has constantly encouraged me about my capabilities, Anand shared. “I slipped into tears when I read his script in my caravan and the emotions come out so organically. Baby will move your hearts and stay in your minds for a long time. It’ll make you smile, it’ll shock and surprise you. I thank the guests and my producer for this opportunity. Anand, brother to Vijay Deverakonda, made his acting debut with Dorasani and followed it up with impressive performances in films like Middle Class Melodies, Pushpaka Vimanam and Highway later. He had worked for a few years in the corporate sector in the US before the film bug bit him. He’s also part of a film titled Gam Gam Ganesha, an action thriller directed by Uday Shetty and produced by Kedar and Vamshi Karumanchi.
