An Action Hero: Neeraj Madhav wraps up filming his Bollywood debut with Ayushmann Khurrana

Neeraj Madhav is making his Bollywood debut in style. He will be sharing the screen with Ayushmann Khurrana in the upcoming film, An Action Hero. Madhav recently wrapped up filming on his latest project, and took to social media to announce the news.

In a Facebook post, Madhav shared photographs of him and his co-star. In the post’s caption, the actor, who is celebrating his birthday today, talked about how excited he was for the project which marked his first Hindi feature film.

An Action Hero is bankrolled by Aanand L Rai and Bhushan Kumar under the banners of Colour Yellow Productions and T-Series.The upcoming film also marks the directorial debut of Anirudh Iyer, who had previously assisted Rai on films like Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Zero. The film had gone on floors earlier this year in London. In addition to Madhav and Khurrana, the film also features Jaideep Ahlawat.

An Action Hero is touted to be an action film that also has satirical elements. Khurrana had shared a teaser for the film last year, and had referred to it as a ‘genre breaker’ of a film.

The upcoming film will not be Madhav’s first Hindi project, even though it is his first film. The actor had been a part of the Amazon Prime Video web series The Family Man, sharing the screen with Manoj Bajpayee. He had also starred in the Netflix series, Feels Like Ishq. The actor is currently awaiting the release of his films such as Sundari Gardens with Aparna Balamurali, Pathira Kurbana and Ennile Villain. The latter has been directed by his brother, Navaneeth.
