An Action Hero actor Neeraj Madhav suffers injury during RDX stunt sequence

Malayalam actor Neeraj Madhav suffered an ankle injury during the shoot of his latest movie RDX, which is helmed by debutant Nahas Hidayath. The movie, which also has Antony Varghese and Arjun Ashokan as part of the cast is an all-out action entertainer, which is produced by the makers of Minnal Murali.

Neeraj took to his social media page on Tuesday to share a photo, with the caption, “Injuries make you stronger”. The actor sported a heavily-taped ankle with nunchakus on the table. The movie has action scenes choreographed by KGF and Vikram stunt directors Anbariv.

In an earlier interview with us, Nahas, who had previously helmed the short film Colour Padam with Mamitha Baiju and Ashwin Jose, told us that his only request to the producers of RDX was that its action scenes must be on par with KGF and Vikram and that’s how Anbariv was brought on board.

“It took a lot some while for them to agree as they were already busy with Salaar and Shankar’s Ram Charan-starrer. But after hearing the script, they said that there needs to be an action movie in Malayalam that could set the bar high as all of us take reference from other industries for our stunt sequences. They were also convinced about the reasons for the fights in the movie,” he said.

The movie, which has about five stunt sequences, has Shane, Antony and Neeraj playing Kochi-based youngsters named Robert, Doney and Xavier, respectively. Scripted by Adarsh Sukumaran and Shahbaz Rasheed, the film also has Mahima Nambiar and Aima Rosmy Sebastian as the female leads.

Meanwhile, Neeraj was most recently seen in the Bollywood film An Action Hero, which has Ayushmann Khurrana and Jaideep Ahlawat in the lead. The movie, which is currently streaming on Netflix, has the Malayalam actor as a hacker who runs a bistro in the UK.
