It is official! Filmmaker Nag Ashwin's directorial titled Project K, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Disha Patani, will debut at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) this month.
Confirming the development today, Vyjayanthi Movies – the official production house of Project K – dropped a tweet which read, “Proud Moment! San Diego @Comic_Con, here we come. #ProjectK #Prabhas @SrBachchan @ikamalhaasan @deepikapadukone @nagashwin7 @Music_Santhosh @AshwiniDuttCh @VyjayanthiFilms”
This tweet is going viral on Twitter, and the post has received over 1.3 million views in less than a day.
Reacting to the tweet, megastar Amitabh Bachchan retweeted the tweet shared by the production house and expressed his gratitude to the cast and crew of the film. He wrote, “T 4697 - ... a proud moment for me... I never realized how important and BIG this is... Now I know... my wishes to Vyjayanthi Movies, Nag Sir, and the entire unit for the affection they have given me, and to make me a part of this incredible experience.”
Earlier in June, the makers of the upcoming movie announced that megastar Kamal Haasan is also going to be a part of the film, but for a short time frame only. With this development, the buzz around the project soared tremendously.
The movie's lead actor Prabhas also shared the update on Instagram last month and wrote, "A moment that will be etched in my heart forever. Honored beyond words to collaborate with the legendary Kamal Haasan sir in Project K. The opportunity to learn and grow alongside such a titan of cinema is a dream come true moment." Even megastar Amitabh Bachchan felt excited to know about Kamal Haasan being a part of the movie and welcomed him with warmth on the sets of the movie.
Interestingly, it is the first time that Deepika Padukone and Prabhas will share screen space in a movie.
