Salman Khan's Sikandar has seen its biggest drop at the Box Office on the first Wednesday. The movie witnessed 50% drop, and thus, it minted only over Rs. 80 (Rs. 84.45) crore so far. This is unusual for a Salman Khan-starrer, but given how the strategy for Sikandar changed, it was also expected. All that Salman hoped for was some more support from his Bollywood peers for his Eid offering.

Here's everything the actor said...

Salman Khan questions Bollywood silence on Sikandar

Salman happened to question why his industry peers are silent when it came to supporting Sikandar. During his interview with Bollywood Bubble, the actor noted that although he has always supported movies by other artists, he hasn't received any in return, particularly for Sikandar.

Salman Khan accepts he needs support too

In the very interview, Salman went on to state that he requires support as well. He points out how people have assumed that he doesn't, but the superstar points out it is far from the truth.

Notably, Sunny Deol came out in support of Sikandar during its theatrical release. He has been the only actor to do so. Salman and Aamir Khan shot for a promotional video of Sikandar, but that was the only support Salman ever received for his Eid release.

In return, Salman did not only update his fans about Jaat's release but also cheered on for Mohanlal's Empuraan, which released in theatres two days before Sikandar.

As Salman questioned why Bollywood peers are not supporting Sikandar, an old statement of his interview with Filmfare is now going viral. "We may not be meeting in person that much but we still talk. In fact, everyone is just one call away. And we support one another when the need arises. Akshay, Salman, Shah Rukh, Abhishek, even though he’s younger to us, Amitji, Suniel Shetty, Sanju…we trust one another and have been there for one another and we know we can count on one another’s support," Ajay had said back then. Unfortunately, Salman has been pointing out now that his Eid release did not receive the word-of-mouth from his Bollywood peers itself.
