The popular horror series American Horror Story, created by Ryan Murphy, has completed a record nine seasons and just when the makers had announced the tenth season, audiences were in for more surprises. A spin-off series titled American Horror Stories was in the works last year and as promised, the show is ready to spook audiences from July 15 on FX and streaming platform, Hulu. The social media handle of the television series announced the release date along with a teaser on Monday.
The teaser leaves us intrigued and the show feels like a heady cocktail of ghosts, snakes, black magic and a liberal dose of thrills. While the video had a message for audiences that read, "fear takes a new form, a twisted anthology", the Twitter post had makers telling audiences that the show has, "More horror than you can handle", in addition to a note, "American Horror Stories premieres July 15 exclusively on #FXonHulu".
Expectedly, the excitement of the show's fans knew no bounds. While one user shared, “Why am I more excited for this than season 10", another fan exclaimed, "I have no words for how excited I am for this!!! I have missed AHS so much". The news brought in so much joy that one user posted, "So there’s that spin-off, and then there’s the tenth season of American Horror Story that’s like a double feature season that’s telling two different stories".
American Horror Stories will comprise an anthology of stories across different episodes. The spin-off shares similarities with the American Horror Story version of Tales From the Crypt, or Creepshow, or Tales From the Darkside. While American Horror Stories has a July 15 release date, the next month will mark the premiere of American Horror Story Season 10 on August 25.
