Ameesha Patel turned down Shah Rukh Khan’s Chalte Chalte, Sanjay Dutt’s Munna Bhai MBBS and Salman Khan’s Tere Naam for THIS REASON!

Just like ‘Gadar’, even the recently released ‘Gadar 2’ is setting the box-office on fire. It won’t be wrong to describe the entire scenario as a mania! Readers may remember that; we had reported a few days back stating that the craze of the film amongst the audiences is so high that a few people in northern cities actually came to see the film on tractors!

Even though the entire unit of ‘Gadar 2’ have been extremely benefitted with the success of the film, the ones who have definitely stolen the show are indeed the film’s lead pair Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel. Speaking of Ameesha Patel, her career was something that was nothing less than a dream coming true in reality. After having started off her Bollywood innings with the super smash hit film ‘Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai’ (in which she was paired opposite the then-debutante Hrithik Roshan), she hit the jackpot yet again with ‘Gadar’. With these two blockbuster hits under her belt, it was totally needless to say that, Ameesha Patel had become the proverbial ‘golden girl’ of Bollywood!

It was only a given that, the actress was flooded with offers from many ‘A’ list filmmakers and films that were potential blockbusters. You will be shocked to know that, Ameesha Patel had even got the offer to play the lead heroine in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Chalte Chalte’! Well... there’s more! Ameesha Patel was even offered the role of the leading lady in the Sanjay Dutt starrer ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ and also the Salman Khan starrer ‘Tere Naam’. This was revealed by the lady Ameesha Patel herself in an interview with E-Times.

When asked the reason for her not taking up these plum projects, Ameesha Patel said that there were lots of films which she couldn’t do and that she had turned them down because of date issues, and that’s why she couldn’t regret it. She added that, her prior commitments to other projects was also the reason for her to turn down the aforementioned films, which, eventually went onto become blazing blockbusters at the box-office.
