The buzz around Amar Singh Chamkila is intense, and the fact that it marks the return of Imtiaz Ali to the feature format after half a decade and that too with the story of an artist, has left his fans restless. The movie, which was already one of the most anticipated movies in the country ever since it was announced, has been making news and has been the talk of the town ever since the promotions began.
But while Netflix, Window Seat Films, and Imtiaz Ali continue to do their bit of work, Diljit Dosanjh has been on his mission to make the world realize what magic they are about to witness with his film that is being touted to be a game-changer. And in that same initiative, he has now shared some magical BTS stills from the sets of the film.
For the uninitiated, Diljit Dosanjh has been giving an interesting countdown to the release of his upcoming movie Amar Singh Chamkila. The actor has been sharing unseen stills and videos from the sets of the movie, and that has been impressing fans since the first day. Today, as we are six days away from the release of the film on Netflix, the actor has shared some of the most divine-looking BTS stills from the sets of the movie.
There are six stills in the series of photos that Diljit shared. There is one where the actor is lost in his thoughts; the other has him on the stage. One picture has him with Parineeti Chopra as she can be seen sitting in the car while he is standing by the window. The most magical is the last one where a young Chamkila can be seen sitting with a musical instrument, looking into oblivion, and smiling. The comments are showering love on the actor and the stills. Fans cannot wait to watch the movie.
Starring Diljit Dosanjh as the titular character alongside Parineeti Chopra, who plays Amarjot Kaur, Amar Singh Chamkila is written and directed by Imtiaz Ali. It tells the story of the artist who was called the Elvis Of Punjab and had taken over pop culture in his time. The film tells the story of his rise and eventually how he was killed to silence his voice.
The film which has AR Rahman’s music and Irshad Kamil's lyrics is set to hit Netflix on April 12, 2024. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more information on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
