Amala Paul says 'yes' to boyfriend Jagat Desai in viral marriage proposal video

Actor Amala Paul is engaged. She has happily accepted a marriage proposal from her boyfriend Jagat Desai, who planned a grand gesture coinciding with her 31st birthday celebration.

In a marriage proposal video, which is now going viral on the internet, Jagat Desai surprises Amala with a romantic spectacle featuring music and dance, culminating in the reveal of an engagement ring. Her joy is evident as she says "yes" without hesitation and joins in the celebratory dance, marking a moment straight out of a Hollywood romance.

"My Gypsy Queen said yes #weddingbells Happy birthday my love," Jagat Desai captioned the video, which was shared on his Instagram page.

At the moment, the details about Jagat Desai remain limited. However, according to some reports, he hails from Goa and holds a position as the head of sales at Scilla Villas.

The newly engaged couple has not shared their wedding plans yet.

This will be Amala's second wedding. Earlier, she was married to director AL Vijay. 

Amala and Vijay dated for a couple of years after meeting on the sets of Deiva Thirumagal. Written and directed by Vijay, Deiva Thirumagal starred Chiyaan Vikram in the lead role. And Amala played a key supporting role in the movie. 

Deiva Thirumagal became a big hit at the box office that year. Following this rumours were rife about the blooming romance between Amala and Vijay. The duo, however, kept their relationship under wraps for almost three years. In 2014, they made their relationship public by getting married. However, in 2016 the couple filed for divorce. 

Following the divorce, Amala was subjected to vicious trolling on social media. However, she showed a lot of resilience in dealing with targeted attacks and continued to focus on her career. 

On the career front, Amala was last seen in Bholaa, starring Ajay Devgan and Tabu in the lead roles. She is also waiting for the release of the Malayalam movie Aadujeevitham.
