The popular filmmaker, who gained a massive fan following with his first two outings, Neram and Premam, has been garnering attention with his disturbing social media posts over the past few days. Alphonse Puthren has shocked his fans and followers with his recent Instagram posts, which have left netizens concerned.
In his latest posts, the Premam director has made some shocking statements about the demises of actor-politician Vijayakanth and former Tamil Nadu chief ministers J Jayalalithaa and M Karunanidhi. Alphonse Puthren also demanded the political entry of popular star Ajith Kumar.
Alphonse Puthren demands investigation of the deaths of Vijayakanth, J Jayalalithaa, and M Karunanidhi
In his Instagram post addressing actor-politician Udhayanidhi Stalin, Alphonse Puthren demanded investigations into the deaths of Kalaignar, aka M Karunanidhi, J Jayalalithaa, and DMDK founder Vijayakanth, and claimed that the trio were murders. He recalled visiting Udhayanidhi at the Chennai office of his production banner, Red Giant Movies, and talking about the same. Shockingly, Alphonse Puthren has also added that ‘they’ tried to kill Kamal Haasan and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on the sets of Indian 2, without revealing any names.
Alphonse Puthren wants Ajith Kumar to enter politics
In another Instagram post addressing Ajith Kumar, Alphonse Puthren has asked the Thunivu actor to make his political entry soon. “I heard from Nivin Pauly and Suresh Chandra (Ajith’s manager) that you were going to enter politics. This was after you called Nivin Pauly home and chatted with him,” reads the Premam director’s post. “But till now I have not seen you in the public and political front. Either they lied to me, or you forgot it or there is someone against you,” further added the filmmaker, who even demanded an explanation from Ajith Kumar through an open letter.

The filmmaker’s posts have clearly left his fans and followers in shock, who are now expressing concern over his well-being. The admirers of Alphonse Puthren have been asking his family and friends to take care of him, as the filmmaker seems to be going through a very tough time personally. Recently, the Gold director has also been getting trolled frequently with his outlandish replies to the fan comments on his posts.
Alphonse Puthren was also heavily criticized recently after he abused fans who criticized his films. Similarly, he also claimed that a big celebrity was the reason behind the failure of his last outing Gold. However, the director refrained from revealing more details on the same. The cast and crew members of the film, however, are remaining tight-lipped on the director's claims.

Alphonse's work front
The filmmaker’s last outing Gold failed to impress the audiences and critics. However, leading man-producer Prithviraj Sukumaran recently revealed that the film was not a commercial disaster. Paattu, the musical drama that was supposed to mark Alphonse Puthren’s first collaboration with Fahadh Faasil, is put on the back burner due to undisclosed reasons. Meanwhile, the filmmaker opened up about his struggles with autism in a now-deleted post and revealed that he has decided to quit his feature film career.
