When Telugu OTT platform aha announced that Allu Arjun would be making his web debut with their project, audiences and the fans of the Pushpa 2 star had every reason to be excited. Their joy knew no bounds when Trivikram was confirmed as a director. However, with every promo, a section of netizens is also suspecting if the streamer is cleverly packaging a marketing campaign for the platform in the garb of an OTT original.

The pictures of Allu Arjun, Sreeleela and Trivikram shooting for a promo went viral earlier this year. Noted lensman Ravi K Chandran was even spotted cutting a cake in the presence of the team. Hence, the announcement from the platform today, confirming that Sreeleela is the lead of the project doesn’t come as a surprise. However, the first poster of Allu Arjun and Sreeleela has grabbed eyeballs for a different reason altogether.

In the latest poster of the project, Allu Arjun holds Sreeleela by her waist and the look has drawn mixed reactions from movie buffs. While some called it bold, ‘a blast’, some didn’t take a liking to it and criticised Allu Arjun, aha. “He is Iconic, she is dreamy. Veellu kalisi steppeste bomma blockbuster e. Presenting @sreeleela14, our heroine for next aha Original…Athi pedda ‘Movie’ Panduga cheskundama..? Get ready for entertainment ‘tsunami’,” aha captioned the image.

The tweet - with the references to ‘movie’ panduga and entertainment tsunami - has hinted that this could be a promotional campaign to announce aha’s big lineup of releases in the coming months. Several fans are confused if this is indeed an OTT project or an ad or a song. However, if there’s something that the streaming platform deserves credit for - the series of posters have got the audiences talking, though not always for the right reasons.
