All We Imagine As Light wins big at Cannes 2024 – Mammootty, Mohanlal and others congratulate Payal Kapadia and team

All We Imagine as Light, the debut fiction film of filmmaker Payal Kapadia, made history at the Cannes Film Festival 2024 by winning the Grand Prix Award. The movie, which stars Malayalam actors Kani Kusruti and Divya Prabha, and Chhaya Kadam in the lead roles, is the first Indian film to be nominated in the mainstream category in the last 30 years. The popular stars of the Malayalam film industry, including Mammootty, Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Dulquer Salmaan, and others congratulated the team on social media.

Mammootty, Mohanlal, and others hail team All We Imagine As Light

The megastar took to his official social media handles and shared the group picture of team All We Imagine As Light from the Cannes 2024 stage, along with a special note. “Making Indian Cinema Proud. What an amazing achievement. Congrats to Payal Kapadia, Kani Kusruthi, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam and the entire team of All We Imagine as Light,” reads Mammootty’s X (formerly Twitter) post.

Mohanlal, who shared the same viral picture of team All We Imagine as Light from the Cannes 2024 event on his social media handles, penned a heartfelt note to congratulate the team. “A momentous occasion for Indian Cinema as Payal Kapadia, Kani Kusruthi, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam, and the talented team behind "All We Imagine as Light" bask in glory!” reads the Malayalam superstar’s post. “Immense love and gratitude to Anasuya Sengupta and the illustrious Santosh Sivan for their remarkable contribution, elevating India's stature at #Cannes2024,” further added the Neru actor.
