All We Imagine As Light, the much-acclaimed Indian film which bagged international awards, and nominations, is all set to make its OTT debut very soon. In fact, it could also be one of the films you can begin the new year of 2025 with. The Payal Kapadia directorial is all set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from January 3 onwards.
All We Imagine As Light is a drama film, written and helmed by Payal Kapadia. The film is an Indo-European production, and stars Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam and Hridhu Haroon. All We Imagine As Light, which premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, was nominated for Palme d'Or and won the Grand Prix, making it the second film from India to bag the title after 1994's Swaham.
The film enjoyed a limited release earlier in Kerala and then opened to nationwide theatres. All We Imagine As Light opened to much critical acclaim. If you had missed watching the film in theatres, All We Imagine As Light is all set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from January 3 onwards, the streaming platform announced.

The film revolves around two Malayalee nurses who live in Mumbai, as the feature explores the themes of sisterhood, capitalism, loneliness and migration.
In an earlier conversation with OTTplay, Payal Kapadia said, “I was thinking a lot about friendship. As I grow older I have been relying more and more on friends. That city is a place where friends become very important, especially if you have left your home.”
With cinematography by Ranabir Das and editing handled by Clément Pinteaux, the music was scored by Topshe. All We Imagine As Light is a prominent addition to India’s indie cinema space.
