Remember the time when Ranveer Singh talked about ‘cancel culture’ in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani? Looks like a similar sentiment was ushered by Alia Bhatt’s mother Soni Razdan last evening. On Instagram, the 66-year-old mother highlighted how ‘people decide for other people what’s wrong with their lives’.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Soni Razdan dropped a cryptic post which read, “What’s seeming increasingly idiotic: Cancel culture. People decide for other people what is wrong with their lives and then everyone jumps into some discussion or the other about things that actually have nothing to do with them! Funny times we live in.”

Soon after Soni dropped this message publicly, a few netizens wondered to whom this message was directed. A few of them believe that this message is a response to those who feel that her daughter Alia’s relationship with actor Ranbir Kapoor is facing a turbulent time.

A few weeks back, multiple news portals reported that Ranbir Kapoor is a “toxic husband” who does not let Alia Bhatt wear the lip colour of her choice. Recently, in an interview with VOGUE, Alia confessed that Ranbir did not like it and thus, did not let her apply lipstick when the two were dating each other. Minutes after this confession, Alia Bhatt and her relationship with Ranbir were questioned by many netizens – a few of whom advised Alia Bhatt to break up with Ranbir Kapoor.
