After entertaining the audiences with the first successful season, Kapil Sharma is gearing up for the second season of The Great Indian Kapil Show. Now, the latest reports reveal that the first episode of this much-awaited season will be graced by none other than the Jigra cast - Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina. For the uninitiated, the show took a few months break before beginning its second season.

According to News18, Alia Bhatt was spotted at Mumbai’s Film City while she was shooting for the show recently. According to a source cited by the portal, “As we know it, The Great Indian Kapil Show is returning with its second season, and one of the episodes will feature the cast of Jigra. Alia and the cast of Jigra are shooting for an episode today, Friday. It’s going to be a fun episode.”

The makers are yet to announce the release date of the second season of the show. 

It is to be noted that the first season of The Great Indian Kapil Show, which premiered on Netflix was graced by Alia’s husband-actor Ranbir Kapoor, her mother-in-law Neetu Kapoor and her sister-in-law Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. The episode was filled with unheard stories and laughter.

Alia Bhatt’s work front

Alia is currently awaiting the release of her most-anticipated film - Jigra. The film, also starring Vedang Raina as his younger brother, is directed by Vasan Bala. The film is co-produced by Dharma Productions, Eternal Sunshine Productions, and Viacom18 Studios. It is slated to release in theatres on 11 October 2024. 

Besides Jigra, Alia Bhatt also has Shiv Rawail’s Alpha with Sharvari Wagh. The film is backed by YRF. She also has Sanjay Leela Bhasali's Love and War, alongside her husband Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
