Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina will play siblings in Vasan Bala's Jigra. The film is produced by her own Eternal Sunshine Productions and Karan Johar.

Alia Bhatt is one of the most talented actors in the Hindi film industry. Besides delivering hit films like Gangubai Kathiawadi, Darlings, Dear Zindagi, Gully Boy, and more, the actress is also serving motherhood goals. Alia welcomed her first baby Raha, with her husband Ranbir Kapoor in November 2022. Now, recently, in an interview the actress opened up about the time when she signed Jigra, shortly after giving birth, recalling that she developed a sense of protectiveness when she signed Jigra.
Recently, while interacting with Forbes, Alia gave insights into her film Jigra describing the film as different from the projects she has worked on earlier. She also opened up about the moment she signed the project shortly after she gave birth to her daughter Raha Kapoor. She said, "At the time I signed Jigra, it was just after I had given birth, a couple of months, like 4 months, so I was feeling very protective. Something about me was feeling… like I was just in Tiger’s mode wanting to protect my cub. So Jigra is all about protecting your loved ones."

Jigra is directed by Vasan Bala and is co-produced by Alia Bhatt's Eternal Sunshine Productions and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The film also features The Archies fame Vedang Raina in an important part.
Alia and Vedang wrapped the shoot last month. While sharing the update, the actress posted pictures with her co-star Vedang and wrote: "Jigra oh… abki teri baari ho (musical note emoticon) #VedangRaina & that’s a film wrap on #JIGRA (punch emoticon) @Vasan_Bala @swapneel25. See you soon... 27th September 2024 at a cinema near you" Reacting to the post, Vedang Raina commented, "The best ever"
Last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani with Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War and Jee Le Zaraa in the pipeline apart from Jigra. The actress will also reportedly lead the next YRF spy universe film which will be directed by Shiv Rawail and also star Sharvari Wagh.
