As the 2024–2025 television season begins, the Philadelphia Police Department's Missing Persons Unit will find more individuals who have gone missing. Fox has reportedly ordered a third season of Alert: Missing Persons Unit, according to Deadline. The show has commenced shooting Season 3 immediately following Season 2 in an effort to cut costs.
Given the impact of last year's double strikes, we can predict that Season 3 will have more episodes than Season 2. However, Fox has not revealed this information. Even if the show's live ratings are lower than average, the renewal is based on outstanding streaming numbers. In a typical show, 3.9 million people tune in.
John Grant and Nikki Batista, played by Scott Caan and Dania Ramirez, respectively, are the detectives assigned to the squad. On a procedural level, the team investigates a fresh case of a missing person each week in an effort to locate them and bring them back to their loved ones. After moving into their new headquarters, the squad settles in for season two. Inspector Hollis Braun, their new supervisor, is determined to rein in the team—and Grant in particular—because he sees them as a wild card. One unexpected turn of events is that Grant and Batista's marriage ended in divorce. Their son's disappearance and subsequent unrecovery ignited a strong desire in them to find other missing persons.
Wayne Pascal is a new addition to the team and will be providing technical support. The series also features Ryan Broussard, Alisha-Marie Ahamed, and Adeola Role, in addition to Caan and Ramirez.
Carla Kettner is the creator and overseer of Alert: Missing Persons Unit. Jon Cowan, Brandon Margolis, John Eisendrath, Sean Hennen, Jamie Foxx, Datari Turner, and Brad Turner are among the other executive producers.
SonyLIV streams the two seasons of the series, which you can also watch via OTTplay Premium.
