Pooja Bedi may have been away from movies for a while now but she is still remembered for her film, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. The actress shared screen space with Aamir Khan in the film, which also featured Ayesha Jhulka in the lead role. The song Pehla Nasha from Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar is still etched in everyone's memories. And on Valentine's Day, actress Alaya F decided to create a dance reel on the same track alongwith her mother.
Alaya F took to her Instagram handle and shared a reel with her mother Pooja Bedi. The mother-daughter duo can be seen dancing to the tunes of Pehla Nasha from Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. While sharing the reel on the gram, Alaya revealed that it was an 'impromptu' Valentine's Day dance reel with a special surprise from her mother.
For those who are unaware, Pooja Bedi essayed the role of Devika in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. The film, directed by Mansoor Khan, hit the silver screen on May 22, 1992. As for Pooja, she was last seen in Masaba Masaba and Comedy Couple. Both of her projects were released in 2020.
Alaya F followed in the footsteps of her mother and entered the world of showbiz. The actress made her acting debut with Jawani Jaaneman, wherein she shared screen space with Saif Ali Khan and Tabu. Alaya's upcoming project is Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, in which she will be seen alongside Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Manushi Chhillar.
Earlier, in an interview with Indian Express, Alaya F stated that she doesn't count herself as a fully nepo baby. The actress mentioned that her mother Pooja Bedi had quit acting before she was born. For the uninitiated, Pooja took a break from acting around 1995.
"I have not grown up among industry parties, that’s not been my life," she said. Alaya also added that it gets frustrating at times because there are 'levels of nepotism'.
