Suhana Khan became the centre of controversy recently when she became the brand ambassador of beauty brand Maybelline, before making her big acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. Although many hailed the budding actress for the new opportunity, trollers online believe that the star kid got the opportunity because of her father, Shah Rukh Khan, and that she has not done anything yet in her career to deserve it. Speaking about the controversy, actress Alaya F – whose next film U-Turn is releasing on ZEE5 on April 28 - said she believes that Suhana ‘totally deserves’ to be the face of the label.

While talking to RJ Siddharth Kannan, Alaya said that lineage should not be taken lightly, and it takes a lot of effort to build it. She backed Suhana by saying, “Especially, when you come from a family that’s just in the spotlight, you just have to do your best to live up to all the wonderful opportunities and make the most of it.”

According to Alaya, there must have been proper thought put into the decision. “You can’t blame someone for the opportunities that they get, you just have to hope that they make the most of it,” she elaborated.

While speaking about nepotism in an earlier interview, Alaya had said that she takes note of her privilege and that some things become easier for her in a lot of ways, but also believes that there are things which are not easy in a lot of other ways.

Suhana is soon going to make her acting debut with Zoya’s The Archies. It’s a musical adaptation of the popular Archie Comics. The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor’s sister, Khushi Kapoor, Vedang Raina, Agastya Nanda, Mihir Ahuja and Yuvraj Menda, among others.

Alaya was last seen in Anurag Kashyap’s Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat. Meanwhile, Arif Khan’s U-Turn also features Priyanshu Painyuli, Rajesh Sharma, Manu Rishi Chadha, Aashim Gulati and Manu Rishi Chadha in important characters.
