Alappuzha Gymkhana vs Bazooka Box Office Collection Day 5: Three highly anticipated Malayalam films clashed at the Vish box office this year, with Mammootty’s Bazooka being the big star release. Naslen’s Alappuzha Gymkhana and Basil Joseph-starrer Maranamass were also strong contenders at the ticket window. But the Premalu star Naslen's film has emerged to be in the top position, beating Mammootty’s action thriller. Here’s the box office breakdown of all three Malayalam films.
Naslen continues his winning streak at the box office as his latest Malayalam film, Alappuzha Gymkhana, has emerged to be quite a crowd-puller at the cinemas. The sports comedy, directed by Khalid Rahman, has minted Rs 16 crore in its five days at the box office, as per Sacnilk. Lukman Avaran and Ganapathi S. Poduval are also part of this film, which follows a bunch of youngsters as they seek to secure college admission through sports quota.
Mammootty’s Bazooka, on the other hand, has been relegated to the second spot with Rs 10.34 crore earnings in five days.

Naslen-led sports comedy opened at Rs 2.65 crore on April 10, while its collection showed a steady increase in the following days. Day 2 - Rs 2.8 Cr, day 3 - Rs 3.5 crore, day 4 - Rs 3.65 crore, and day 5 - Rs 3.40 crore,
Bazooka seems to be facing a reverse trend with its collections seeing a drop over the days. It opened at a stellar Rs 3.2 crore, but after that saw a drop - Day 2 Rs 2.1 crore, day 3 - Rs 2 crore, day 4 - Rs 1.7 crore, and day 5 - Rs 1.34 crore. The action-packed thriller also features Gautham Vasudev Menon in a pivotal role.
Basil Joseph-led Maranamass is also not too far behind with its five-day collections at Rs 8.97 crore. The film, co-produced by Tovino Thomas, has been consistently earning over Rs 1 crore. This is Basil Joseph’s third theatrical release of the year, after Pravinkoodu Shappu and Ponman. Both films have made their OTT premieres.
