Ala Modalaindi was a film that changed the careers of nearly the entire team involved with it, right from its director Nandini Reddy to its leads Nani, Nithya Menen, composer Kalyani Malik and producers Sri Ranjith Movies. The film, that released a week post Sankranthi in 2011 (on January 21), was a simple rom-com that tugged at your heartstrings featuring endearing performances from its cast, with rib-tickling humour, a story with its heart at the right place and a memorable album.
As the film completed its 12th release anniversary today, the producers and the director Nandini Reddy rekindled their memories associated with the project. “12 years already …so much to be grateful for. My producers for their trust in me , my actors who always improved my story with their talent , my technicians who taught me so much and to my audiences who have loved my stories and made them their own .Gratitude,” the filmmaker wrote on Saturday.
“I thank each and every artist, technician, and all others who have been part of this project directly or indirectly.. Where ever each one is and which ever position all of you are in today. I wish each one of you the best as always for your future endeavours..God Bless.,” Damodar Prasad of Sri Ranjith Movies shared on his social media handle. The story revolves around a youngster, who’s coming to terms with a breakup, and falls in love with another woman, only to learn that she is already engaged. Do they have a happy ending in store? Written by Nandini Reddy, the film had dialogues by Lakshmi Bhupal, with Arjun Jena cranking the camera. The rom-com was edited by Marthand K Venkatesh.
