Akshay Oberoi confirms Illegal Season 3: ‘Thrilled to continue this exhilarating journey’

Actor Akshay Oberoi is all set to start shooting for the third season of the web series - Illegal - Justice, Out of Order - a thriller, courtroom drama. The first two seasons of the show received huge appreciation from the audience. 

Directed by Sahir Raza, the series sheds light on the dark side of criminal law. Akshay plays the character of Akshay Jaitley, a lawyer and the son of a prominent criminal lawyer, Janardhan Jaitley played by Piyush Mishra.

The show explores the complexities of the Indian legal system, while delving into the personal and professional lives of the characters involved.

Talking about reprising his role, Akshay recently said, “I am thrilled to step into the shoes of my character once again and continue this exhilarating journey with Illegal. The actor said that the opportunity to delve deeper into the complexities of the legal world and explore new dimensions of the character is ‘incredibly fulfilling’ for him. Recently, Akshay appeared in the Rakul Preet Singh-starrer film I Love You, which was released on JioCinema.

Akshay is known for his work in web series like It’s Not That Simple, Bar Code, The Test Case, Flesh and Inside Edge Season 3, among others. He also played a pivotal part in the Sara Ali Khan-starrer film Gaslight.

The first two seasons of Illegal were released on Voot Select. The show also stars Neha Sharma, Tanuj Virwani, Kubbra Sait and Satyadeep Mishra, among others. The cast and crew are preparing to start the shooting of the third season in Delhi and Mumbai.
