It looks like Joaquin Phoenix's Joker 2 will enjoy a solo release in India. Although Akshay Kumar's Sky Force was supposed to release on the said date, that might not be happening. After Welcome To The Jungle, Akshay's Sky Force 2 is also likely postponed. Here's what we know about the debacle with the movies starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role...

Sky Force postponed?

Akshay Kumar's Sky Force is postponed, Rahul Raut confirms. While sharing the news, he also gave a tentative new release date for the film. It will now most probably be out in January 2025.

Starring Sara Ali Khan opposite Akshay Kumar, the movie would have marked Veer Pahariya’s debut in Bollywood. Unfortunately, we might have to wait a lot longer for that to actually happen.

Joker 2 to have a solo release in India?

So far, the only Bollywood movie to release on Gandhi Jayanti was Sky Force. With it being postponed, Joaquin Phoenix can enjoy the Gandhi Jayanti holiday Box Office solo, at least so far. The movie will be out on October 4.

Titled Joker: Folie a Deux, the movie also stars Lady Gaga as the female lead. She plays the role of Joker’s lover, Harley Quinn. The story inspired from DC comics, like you can guess, is set in the Arkham Asylum this time around.

Welcome To The Jungle also delayed?

It has been in the news for a long time and the latest reports also suggest that Welcome To The Jungle will indeed be delayed in release. This is after Jio Studios pulled out as producers for the film. Although a source has confirmed the same as the reason why promotional materials are no longer on the internet, the makers are yet to give an official statement on the delay.

Apart from Akshay Kumar, the movie stars Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Suniel Shetty, Anil Kapoor, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles. The film, helmed by Ahmed Khan, was originally scheduled for December 20 release.
