Akshay Kumar to lead Milan Luthria's vigilante film under Siddharth Anand's banner

After helming blockbuster action flicks like Bang Bang, War, Pathaan, and Fighter, Siddharth Anand and his wife Mamta Anand established Marflix, their production company. The two have collaborated closely on a slate of ten features, each of which delves into a different area of action and offers viewers a unique cinematic experience. According to reports in Pinkvilla, Milan Luthria is directing Akshay Kumar in a large action film.

Insiders close to the development claim that everything has finally come together for Luthria's action-packed flick. Akshay and Siddharth have reportedly been considering a possible collaboration for some time now. The filmmaker has teamed up with Luthria and Rajat Arora, a director and writer, to create an action film that takes place in a vigilante film's zone.

According to a source familiar with the situation, the trio unanimously felt that Akshay is the best fit for the film. After reading the script, the actor also felt that this was the ideal project for him to be involved with right now.

The insider went on to say that working with the industry's current top dog, Siddharth, in a new zone of action is something Akshay is looking forward to. The actor is constantly game for new challenges and loves working in the action genre. Luthria's film will showcase him in a new role that aligns with his legendary status. Siddharth and Mamta are thrilled about this new partnership with the Khiladi.

Marflix, on the other hand, has a slew of projects in the works for the coming year. The projects include Sujoy Ghosh's King, which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, and Abhishek Bachchan; Robbie Grewal's Jewel Thief, which stars Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat; Hrithik Roshan's superhero franchise Krrish; Rohan Khambati's action film, an untitled international biopic of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar; a female-led action flick; and his own directorial, an action two hero epic with a massive budget.

However, Akshay has a slew of promising projects lined up for 2025, including Jolly LLB 3, Welcome to the Jungle, and Housefull 5.
