It's a great time to be a fan of Bollywood action flicks as yet another big budget action entertainer is on the horizon. There have been reports that Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff are teaming up for an action film, helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, the upcoming film will be produced under the banner of Pooja Films by Vashu, Jackky and Deepshikha Bhagnani. Zafar had reportedly been planning to make a big budget action film with the two main leads for quite some time. The idea had come to fruition when he found a script which he thought could do justice to the idea of having two action heroes share the screen. The idea had already been put to Kumar and Shroff, to which they both reportedly agreed. The film would mark the duo’s first on screen collaboration.

The upcoming film is touted to be an action film, which also includes elements of comedy and humour. Further details regarding its plot have not been released as yet. The yet-to-be-titled film will go on floors sometime in 2022, after Zafar, Kumar and Shroff have completed their present filming engagements.

Kumar and Shroff’s upcoming films, Cinderella and Ganapath respectively, also have the Bhagnanis as their producers. Additionally, Kumar’s other upcoming releases include Prithviraj, Bachchan Pandey, Raksha Bandhan, Ram Setu, Selfie, Oh My God 2, and Gorkha. Meanwhile Shroff will next be seen in the films Heropanti 2, Ganapath and Baaghi 4.

Zafar is currently working on another action project, starring Shahid Kapoor, which went on floors last month. The film is reportedly the Hindi remake of the French movie, Nuit Blanche.
