Akshay Kumar responds to Anupam Kher’s tweet rooting for Special 26 sequel: Asli power toh..

Today marks the tenth anniversary of the Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher, and Akshay Kumar film Special 26. The Neeraj Pandey-directed heist thriller movie, which was based on the Opera House theft of 1987, earned a lot of positive reviews from both the public and critics. Jimmy Shergill, Kajal Aggarwal, Divya Dutta, Rajesh Sharma, and Kishor Kadam also starred in it. Anupam Kher tweeted about the movie's tenth anniversary and questioned whether a Special 26 sequel should be produced. In response, Akshay Kumar remarked that he is available if the script is finished.

Anupam Kher tweeted in Hindi, and it can be loosely translated as, “Our film Special 26 completes 10 years today. I have asked our director Neeraj Pandey so many times to make a Part 2 of the film. But… Now, you tell me, should a sequel for #10YearsOfSpecial26 be made or not? @akshaykumar”. Akshay Kumar was quick to Anupam Kher’s tweet, and he wrote, “I’m ready if the script is ready. Asli power script mein hoti hai (Real power is in the script) :)”. Check out his tweet below!

Akshay Kumar's next appearance will be in the movie Selfiee, which also stars Emraan Hashmi, Nushratt Bharuccha, and Diana Penty. The Raj Mehta-directed comedy-drama movie will be released on February 24. In it, Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi will take on the parts of Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu, respectively, from the 2019 Malayalam film Driving License.

Also, in the Tinu Suresh Desai-directed film Capsule Gill, Akshay Kumar will play the part of Jaswant Singh Gill. Additionally, he will appear in Oh My God 2 and Mahesh Manjrekar's historical drama Vedat Marathe Veer Daulate Saat, in which he will play the part of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
