Akshay Kumar drops an intriguing motion poster for an untitled project, hints at a major announcement set for his birthday

Akshay Kumar was last seen in the film 'Khel Khel Mein' with Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, Ammy Virk, and others. The film received mixed reviews from critics and did not do very well at the box office. Khiladi Kumar now seems to be ready with his next project as the actor dropped an intriguing motion poster today, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. 

Akshay Kumar teases his next film?

Taking to his Instagram account today, on 7th September, Akshay Kumar shared a motion poster featuring an ominous metal evil face against a backdrop of red curtains. The actor also hinted that he will share a major announcement on his birthday, which is on 9th September.  

Sharing the poster on his social media account, Akshay captioned it: "Ganpati Bappa Morya! What could be better than a day like today to hint at something special coming your way? The reveal is set for my birthday Stay tuned! #SpecialAnnouncement"

While the actor did not reveal any detail about this project, there have been rumours that the actor is set to collaborate with director Priyadarshan. As soon as the actor shared the motion poster, fans started speculating if this is the same project and the announcement about the same would be unveiled soon. After their successful collaboration with Bhool Bhulaiyaa, the duo will join hands once again and we can't wait for them to spread their magic on the big screens. 

Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay Kumar had three theatrical releases this year. Ali Abbas Zafar's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Tiger Shroff was his first release which unfortunately did not click with the audiences and was a box office dud. Following its Eid 2024 release, Akshay was seen in Sarfira with Radhika Madan but the film again failed to create an impact at the ticket window. The movie was the Hindi remake of Suriya's Tamil film Soorarai Potrru. And recently, Akshay's movie Khel Khel Mein had a theatrical release on August 15 but it was majorly affected by Stree 2, which was released on the same day.
