Hindustan Times India's Most Stylish Awards ceremony saw a slew of celebrities arriving at their fashionable best. From Akshay Kumar, Sushmita Sen, Raveena Tandon to Babil Khan, Janhvi Kapoor and Ananya Panday, the evening was indeed a splendid affair.
Actor Riteish Deshmukh and his wife, actor Genelia D'Souza were the host of the evening.
At the event held in Mumbai, Akshay Kumar was asked a bunch of quirky and fun-filled questions, many of which he replied enthusiastically. One of the questions posed to actor Kumar by host Deshmukh included, “who do you think is the Ranveer Singh of the 90s era?”. The Selfiee (2023) actor replied within a fraction of a second and said, “Ranveer Singh.” This reply by Kumar was welcomed with claps and cheers by those present at the do.
For those who are unaware, actor Ranveer Singh, who made his debut in the film Band Baaja Baaraat in 2010, has always been a huge admirer of veteran actor Govinda and his works. Also, at an event held last month, Ranveer Singh touched the feet of his ‘guru’ Govinda as a mark of respect for the Govinda.
This development sweeps around a time when ace filmmaker Rohit Shetty grabbed headlines by saying that “It would be iconic. Imagine, both Govinda and Ranveer Singh in a double role (in Aankhen remake) with Arjun Kapoor.”
Also, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh share a great bond with filmmaker Shetty, who often casts them in his films. Though Ranveer Singh is yet to comment on the development, we are hopeful that he will bounce with joy after knowing about this development.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay Kumar has a couple of projects lined up including OMG 2 - Oh my God 2 and a sequel to Hera Pheri. He will also be seen in an untitled film directed by Rohit Shetty soon.
