Akshay Kumar and his near-deadly prank on Milap Zaveri; details inside

Director Milap Zaveri's comedy film Heyy Babyy was one of the movies that had made people laugh across age groups when it had released 15 years ago. But, the fun part part for him happened on sets, when his actors pulled pranks on him: some dangerous, others not so much.

In an anniversary exclusive with Bollywood Hungama, the director recalled the vibe on set and how his pants were once set on fire by none other than Akshay Kumar. "Akshay, Fardeen, Riteish all used to pull pranks on me. Once, in Australia, Akshay sir tried to set my pants on fire! It was madness. The other time, we got the keys to Vidya’s room. Me, Riteish, Sajid and Akshay sir went and hid in her room while she was away. Poor Vidya had no clue and as soon as she entered, we all jumped out of our hiding places. She had the fright of her life (laughs)!" he told the entertainment news portal.

While talking about the details of the movie, Zaveri revealed that he and Sajid Khan had gone to a theatre in Mumbai to see the audience's reaction and everyone was roaring in laughter. Zaveri also spoke highly of Riteish Deshmukh who had promised to work on the director's debut directorial and went on to keep his word. 

On the work front, Milap Zaveri's last directorial venture was Satyameva Jayate 2 (2021) starring John Abraham, Nora Fatehi and others.
