Akkineni Nagarjuna starrer Soggade Chinni Nayana's sequel made fans extremely excited. Titled Bangarraju, the awaited film features Naga Chaitanya with Nagarjuna. Now, the film has finally gone on floors in Hyderabad and the makers announced the news with a poster.
While sharing the poster, Nagarjuna tweeted, "So very happy to start work for #Bangarraju along with @chay_akkineni!!! We welcome @ZeeStudios_ in this exciting journey!! @meramyakrishnan @IamKrithiShetty @kalyankrishna_k @anuprubens @AnnapurnaStdios @ZeeStudios_ @lemonsprasad."
This is not the first time father and son duo Nagarjuna and Chaitanya will be seen together onscreen. They have earlier worked together in Manam which was released in 2014.
Talking about Soggade Chinni Nayana, the hit Telugu film hit the screens in 2016 and is helmed by Kalyan Krishna Kurasala, who is also directing the sequel.
Bangarraju also features Ramya Krishna, Krithi Shetty, Chalapathi Rao, Rao Ramesh, Brahmaji, Vennela Kishore and Jhansi in the supporting roles. Krithi is paired opposite Chaitanya in the film.
Zee Studios will be co-producing the project with Akkineni Nagarjuna's home banner Annapurna Studios Pvt Ltd. Anup Rubens is composing the music for the film. While Satyanand has penned the screenplay and Yuvaraj is handling the cinematography.
Meanwhile, Nagarjuna has several films in his kitty. He will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
The veteran actor also has an untitled film being directed by Praveen Sattaru.
Talking about Chay, he is gearing up for the release of Love Story opposite Sai Pallavi. The film is slated to release on the big screens on September 10, 2021.
The actor also has Thank You in which he plays the protagonist alongside Raashi Khanna and Avika Gor. Chaitanya is also making his Bollywood debut with Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha.
