AK 62: The much-anticipated update on Ajith Kumar's next project to be out on THIS date?

Ajith Kumar was supposed to kick off AK 62 (tentative title) with Vignesh Shivan after the release of his Thunivu which was released in January this year. However, the director was ousted from the film owing to creative differences with the production house.

Though Thunivu turned out to be a huge hit at the box office, the star's fans have been curious on who will be brought on board to direct the movie. After a little speculation, it was more or less confirmed that Magizh Thirumeni had been brought on board.

However, the team remained tight-lipped about the further proceedings. Anirudh was officially a part of Vignesh Shivan's AK 62. It isn't sure if he is still part of the film. There was news about Santhosh Narayanan turning composer for AK 62. However, nothing was confirmed due to the lack of an official update.

The delay in an announcement left fans and industry insiders confused amid reports doing the rounds that the team has begun shooting in a hush-hush manner. Earlier, there was news of another box office clash happening between films of Ajith and Vijay, but cinephiles kept wondering about the delay in making things official.

It looks like the wait has now come to an end. According to trusted sources, an update is on the way. It is known that Ajith's birthday falls on May 1. The actor is turning 52 in a couple of days and it is heard that the much-awaited announcement will be made on the occasion.
