Valatty: The Tale of Tails, which is based on dogs, has been garnering a lot of attention for its unique concept. The film features real dogs as main characters and is said to be the first-of-its-kind in Indian cinema.

The film revolves around the romance between two dogs and the interesting turnout of events after their owners oppose the affair. As Valatty gears up for its release on July 21, the makers of the film have been sharing their experiences on social media.

Speaking about his experience of lending his voice to a rooster in the film, Aju Varghese told the YouTube channel of Friday Films, "So far, I have played human beings in film. For the first time, I was able to give my voice to a rooster in Valatty. As an actor, it was a memorable and different experience for me."

Speaking about the concept of the film and why he was attracted to it, Aju added, "Devan, the director, had a clear picture about the content of the film. The film is from the perspective of dogs and how they judge the actions of their owners. I found that very amusing because I haven't seen something like this in Indian cinema."

Talking about the animals and actors featured in the movie, Aju said,  "There are 11 dogs in the movie. Roshan Mathew has dubbed for the lead character, named Tomy. Raveena Ravi, who had lent her voice to Nayanthara in Love Action Drama, has voiced the character of the female lead. My favourite character in the film is Karidas, voiced by Soubin Shahir."

Vijay Babu, who has bankrolled Valatty, said that it took three years to complete the film. The film had a long pre-production time, and the shoot was disrupted several times during the pandemic. The dogs featured in the movie were procured as puppies and trained in accordance with the script.
